Close to Moretonhampstead, and surrounded by the stunning Dartmoor National Park, Higher Westcott is a 300-year-old Devon longhouse which has been transformed into a unique boutique guesthouse by Sam and Jo.

For them, Higher Westcott Farm is all about comfort and style: combining attention to detail with a professional service in a stunning and relaxing environment. Leaving their jobs and London behind, Sam and Jo used their enthuiasm and skills (Sam was a graphic designer and Jo was a restaurant manager for Conran) to create the perfect stylish country retreat.

Now Higher Westcott is a chic guesthouse in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It offers the stylish bedrooms and contemporary bathrooms of a boutique hotel with the comfort and space of home, which include areas in which to relax and socialise with friends and family.

Sam and Jo know how important it is, to be able to go somewhere for a weekend with a group of friends to relax or to celebrate a special occasion and to do things at your own pace. As parents, they also wanted an environment in which you can bring your infants and still enjoy a break yourselves. The house is set up to do just that, putting your little lady or fella to bed within earshot and coming downstairs for a dinner of homestyle classics in the dining room and relax with drinks from the bar by the fire.
