Higher Westcott Farm is a 300 year old granite-walled Devon longhouse, located in Dartmoor National Park three miles from Moretonhampstead. Westcott is a traditional English hamlet set in surrounding countryside, ancient woodland and rolling hills, 1,000 feet above sea level.
The house has been designed to offer a contemporary but still traditional environment, focusing on comfort and style, with wood-burning stove, flat-screen TV’s, and leather sofas.
Lounge And Bar
Perfect for lazy afternoons and evenings with family, friends or just a book for company, the lounge/bar offers leather sofas, tub chairs and window seats in which to enjoy a drink and unwind in front of the fire.
Dining Room
Filled with sunshine in the morning and lit with candles at night, this cosy room features a stone fireplace and an antique oak muntin screen. Dinner is served at a large oak table.
Bedrooms
The four stylish rooms each feature a sumptuous kingsize bed. You'll find Egyptian cotton percale sheets and Fogarty duck-down duvet and pillows, as well as a flat-screen DVD player and window seats. Each room features a stylish combination of old and new. In the loft are exposed oak beams and a double-ended bath; a huge cherub-carved mirror and large recessed shower in bedroom one; a contemporary wardrobe and superking bed in room two, and an English oak window seat and stylish wallpaper in room three. The three en-suite and one private bathroom have been designed in a contemporary style with natural stone tiles, solid oak surfaces and modern fittings.
The Garden
Higher Westcott's south-facing walled garden offers stunning views of the countryside and woods. During the day children can safely play on the lawn, at night it's a wonderful place to watch the starry skies.
We also have our own natural spring water supply. We don't use harmful products to maintain our environment. Our produce is carefully sourced and, wherever possible, organic.
