Eat

We serve a full English breakfast, comprising freshly made bread, homemade muesli, Devon yoghurt and fresh juice in the dining room. Wherever possible, our ingredients are locally sourced, many from within the national park itself.

Our dinner menu is £25.00 per person. It starts with a glass of bubbles and canape beside the fire in the lounge. Featuring seasonal and locally sourced produce, the three-course dinner is served in the dining room. It is followed by coffee, or fresh mint tea, and truffles.

Perfect for picnics, long walks or days out, our hamper rucksacks can be tailor made for your requirements.

Private Dining

Higher Westcott was set up with private dining in mind. It’s the perfect venue for a group of up to 10 guests to have dinner together.

The large lounge/bar with its ample seating and roaring fire create a great space to meet and enjoy an aperitif. Moving through to the elegant dinning room with its monumental granite fireplace, the large oak dining table lends itself to social dining still leaving each place setting with plenty of room. Seal the evening in front of the fire with a cognac, coffee and truffles.

All our menus are designed with fresh seasonal produce in mind and mostly sourced from within Dartmoor National Park. You can choose a 2-course dinner or a more complex 5-course meal. We are very flexible, our only stipulation is that we stay true to the seasons and minimize food miles as much as possible. Each menu is tailor made for your party.

Drink

Our fully licensed bar with its well-stocked fridge and top shelf ensures replenished glasses for cordial hours of relaxation. We offer the best gin & tonic this side of the moor with a good selection of malt whiskeys, aged rums and cognacs among others.

All of our wine is biodynamic. Should you wish to bring your own alcohol a corkage will be charged at our house rate.
